About

I’m a reporter for Axios, covering investment in low-carbon energy and the energy transition — everything from renewables, geothermal and nuclear power, to AI and data centers, grid tech, EVs, industrial decarbonization and carbon removal.

Before joining Axios, I covered energy and mobility — and, briefly, DOJ and DHS — for U.S. News & World Report and Cheddar, where I regularly appeared on-air. I cut my teeth in local newsrooms, reporting on South Brooklyn and Midtown Manhattan for DNAinfo.com, and previously Patch Media in New Jersey.

I’ve published freelance stories on bagels, sports, and cops in the New York TimesWashington Post, and Wall Street Journal, among other publications. I periodically provide consulting services to corporate clients, and for a time worked EMS and ski patrol in Park City.

I’m a 2010 graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, a 2009 graduate of Vassar College, and earned a J.D. with a merit scholarship from The George Washington University Law School.

I live in the Providence area with my family. If you’d like to reach me about a story or speaking engagement — or talk skiing, books, movies, or local restaurants — you can find me here:
